Toppenish High School Alumni

Jonette Opal Hixson Zike passed September 9th 2016 in Yakima, WA, with her family by her side.

Mom was born July 4th 1953, to John and Opal Hixson. She grew up on the family farm in Toppenish, WA where she made many fond memories. She attended Toppenish High School. Mom was an avid horse rider, proudly earning Toppenish Rodeo Queen in 1970. She loved to tell her grandkids about life on the farm.

Mom was a special person in so many ways. She was a wonderful mother to not only her children, but anyone who entered her door. She found a friend in anyone she met, and helped anyone in need.

Mom blessed her family and friends with so many fun times and happy memories. She always knew how to have fun, how to make you laugh, and loved to party. The party followed mom wherever she went.

She would not want us to mourn; instead remember something you loved about her and become more like that. Always give and love with all your heart.

Jonette is survived by her loving husband Mike Zike, children Tiffney, BJ (Sarah), JJ (Niki), and Stevie, grandchildren Antonio, Lilliana, Kyler, Leah, Devon, Braidyn, and Nevaeh, great-grandson, Micah, and many loving friends. She is preceded in death by her mother Opal, and father John.

Mom was a Hippie Cowgirl, she is the most amazing, loving person that anybody has ever known. She will be truly missed by all.
