Mark Martin, 61, passed away on May 1, 2020 in his home of complication of COPD.

Mark was born in Yakima, WA on May 8, 1958 to Harry F. Martin Jr, and Thelma Ruth (Russell) Martin. Mark was the youngest of five boys. Mark grew up in and attended Toppenish schools graduating with the class of 1976.

During his childhood, he was active in sports which included being on the Toppenish swim team in the summer months. He spent most of his time playing with the neighborhood children.

After graduation, Mark embarked on a career of many jobs. He worked for U&I Sugar Company, Mojohnnier & Sons, Comet Trailers, and then began training and maintaining X-Ray machines. Once the digital age began, Mark sought various jobs which included construction, car sales, route sales, and subcontract labor. His final job that he most enjoyed was being a security guard at the Amazon Data Center.

Mark enjoyed working on his cars, music, concerts, gambling and playing golf and most of all teasing people by stirring coffee for two minutes and placing empty containers in the frig.

Mark is survived by a son Levi of Clearfield UT; brothers, Loren (Nancy) and son Erik of Kennewick, Cary (Becky) of Yakima, Harold (Diane) of Sunnyvale CA. Mark was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Michael.

At Mark’s request, there will be no funeral services. A memorial will be conducted at a later date to be determined.

Mark will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
